12/10/2015 - Happy Thanksgiving! We went to the Adirondacks (NY) this weekend. As the weather is a bit colder than Ottawa, the peak time for fall colour in the park is the last week of September or the first week of October. This year we were treated with amazing fall foliage throughout the park, and great weather for hiking too. This is a view from a hike up Giant's Nubble. We tried to get Flash to sit on the cliff for a photo but he wanted nothing to do with getting anywhere within 15 ft. of the edge.
30/10/2015 - I drove out to the old Keene barn at night and setup my tripod for this shot. It was pitch black except for the lights of the cars on the highway, which provided just enough illumination on the barn and the tree nearby. There was a truck and a motorcycle parked by the side of the road, but I didn't see anyone else there. While I was taking photos I heard rustling in the trees nearby, and once a footstep-like thump, but I never caught a glimpse of who or what was making the noise. Anyway it got too spooky for me and so I packed up and headed back to the cabin.
